Waverly Partners was founded in 1995 for the purpose of acquiring, improving and operating specialty manufacturing businesses. Waverly's founders, Brian Kelly and Patrick Burke, share a common vision of manufacturing excellence and customer focus. Implementation of this vision in each of their portfolio businesses has resulted in outstanding growth in customer base, revenue and income. Waverly's acquisition niche has been acquiring successful family owned and operated businesses and transforming them into middle market industry leading suppliers for Fortune 100 customers. Waverly recruits and partners with outstanding management that share their vision and commitment.

In 1993, Mr. Kelly and Mr. Burke won the RIT/USA Today National Quality Cup award as senior executives of Fitchburg Coated Products. The award was given in recognition of their significant accomplishments implementing team based Total Quality Management systems to improve products and services for customers in the medical products industry.

 

Brian Kelly

Prior to founding Waverly Partners, Mr. Kelly served as Chief Executive Officer of Fitchburg Coated Products. Mr. Kelly also served as Chief Financial Officer of Technographics, Inc. and, prior to that, was Chief Financial Officer of Deerfield Specialty Papers. Mr. Kelly began his career in public accounting with Arthur Young in Boston, MA.

Mr. Kelly serves as director for public and private companies and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr Kelly received a BA from Providence College and a MBA from McGill University.

Patrick Burke

Prior to founding Waverly Partners, Mr. Burke served as Executive Vice President of Fitchburg Coated Products. Mr. Burke began his career in the Consulting division of Arthur Andersen (Accenture) where he managed Manufacturing Productivity Improvement programs and led manufacturing and IT system implementations for Fortune 500 manufacturing clients.

Mr. Burke serves as a director for private businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

Mr. Burke received a BA degree from Stonehill College and a BS degree from the University of Notre Dame.
